Type Details : The project is related to a river basin located in Western
Turkey. Cine basin is one of the biggest basin in Agean region and it cover
approximately 2500 km2 area. Usually cotton, vegetables are maing farm products
in the basin. In winter and begining of the spring session the basin generally
faces with flood water and most of farm lands are under water. Therefore the
proposed project is related about creating a Hydrological Information Systems
for the river basin. With created infromation systems, there will be better
management of flood water. This will increase agricultural activities and
products in metioned sessions. The tools will be used in the system is ArcHydro
software and Access database (or Oracle) . Also ArcGIS will be used for the
mapping.

project is quite hard to achieve. Although challengeable and innovative project
ideas are very valuable, they are not applicative without a well-formed
consortium and management structure. Additionally, there are significant
differences between previous framework programs and other international programs
at FP6, especially in project structures, evaluation and project management.
